No more than 3 dollars the box, and no more than 2 euros if you´re from Europe

There are many kinds and many levels of quality. They run from very expensive to very cheap. There are some very cheap cigarettes and cigars, but not in the tourist areas.

Hola. It really depends on the type you want. If you go to Hemmingways and get Cubans you are looking at about $6 to 10 per cigar. Cigarellos are closer to $2.5 to $10 depending on quality. Don’t forget Cuban made cigars can’t be brought into the USA. And if you are going to Canada, don’t have any american stops inbetween.

Cigars are rather expensive in Mexico because most places sell Cubans, which in my personal opinion are over inflated in price. The distribution system for cigars requires many different levels, and each level adds their profit. If you want a good cigar, then you’ve got to pay in Mexico. Now if you want the cheap cigars, they are easily found as well. Most tourist towns charge a lot even for the cheap ones. That’s because they cater to the tourists that don’t mind paying a premium. If you’re in Mexico, buy cigars where the locals do and not where the tourists tend to go.
